| + | It is revealed by Victorique that she had an affair with Leviathan the Alchemist (who was an African) for whom she fell in love with. Their child was a mixed blood of Caucasian and African and to prevent the king from killing her and the child when he found out, she switched places with her trusted friend and maid (who looked like her) and escaped with her child. It is shown at the end of episode 21 that the two survived (their carriage broke down and they hitched a ride home with Victorique and Kazuya Koujou). They look sadly on the academy as the clocktower where the queen and Leviathan used to see each other was taken down. After the queen's maid's death, the culprits (one of them being the king himself) replaced her with another lookalike, Nicole, who was formerly a dancer in the same troupe as Victorique's mother prior to her abduction by the Marquis, Victorique's father. The king did not know about the maid and the queen switching places but killed the maid thinking that he wanted to preserve their love the way it was before Leviathan came. |

Queen Coco Rose is the reigning queen of Sauville from the year 1897 to 1914. A queen with alluring beauty contrasted with her weakness for extravagant offers, she becomes the key for the alchemist Leviathan to become the king's advisor.
Her pet name is "the Blue Rose", and signed photographs of herself are famous with girls. In her journey from France to Sauville, she is accompanied with her personal maid, whom she is very close to. She eventually develops feelings of isolation and Leviathan's first appearance has piqued her interest in the occult; she also eventually moves to the suburbs from the royal palace.
Rumors that circulate in Sauville say that Coco Rose obtained a magical stone from Leviathan which makes her invisible by holding it, and she used this newly-acquired power to go to places outside of the country house where she usually stays.
